This site is dedicated to the memory of Uche Orizu.
Uche Orizu is much loved and will always be remembered by all her friends and family. Uche was born on 30 January 1978, a cherished daughter of the Orizu family. In 2011, Uche was diagnosed with Stage 4 Colon cancer which she fought and bore gallantly until her death on Sep. 28th 2012.
Uche was a fun loving, unique individual, she attended Air Force Girls' Military School,Jos, Nigeria and made life long friends there. Later in her career and up until her sad passing, she worked at Exxon Mobil, Nigeria. Uche loved her job. She valued dearly her family and friends but her passion was running.
Uche was a consummate marathon runner, representing her company and other organisations world wide and raising money and awareness for numerous charities. Uche will be missed but her impact on her world and the world around her would be felt forever.

Never knew you, but I've been struggling with my mental health and saw a tribute to you by Amaechi Okobi and I could easily feel how great and cool a person you were. I hope you're resting well and your family is doing okay. Keep resting Uche. Your life brings me a burst of joy.
